Hi I am keen to give my daughter a strong name that will suit her when she is older. I'm not really very keen on girly flowery names (molly, milly, daisy etc.) but I'm struggling - any suggestions out there?

Great name thread. Any of these would be wonderful, especially if hyphenated with 'Mae'.

Mathilde, which is an alternative (German, French or Danish) spelling of Mathilda or Matilda. This is the version we used for our DD as my DH is half German. All versions mean mighty in battle which is certainly true of my DD! Grin

This is a great name thread. I hate it when OPs post a query and then are never heard from again!

benne81 · 08/06/2011 10:40

Sorry I've not written again but I am watching the thread closely and jotting down the suggestions don't you worry. Thanks folks
