my DD is Bethan I also love Eira (but no english people seem to be able to say it). I also like Seren and Nia

VeryHungryKatypillar · 03/06/2011 20:37

Think Essylt is actually Esyllt and therefore with the ll sound not so easy for the English (am English myself, but with Welsh DH).

I like Bethan, Megan and Nia personally.

Good Welsh boys names which English people can spell and say easily are much harder to come by...

I know a little girl called Mali. Not sure about the dogs name connection. Some of her English friends call her Ma -li as in the country
I love Ffion, Seren, Menna (my lovely gran).

I am Welsh, but think some are horrible to say and spell -Angharad and Myfanwy. (perhaps as I knew girls who were picked on because of their names Sad)

I have a Seren, I'm Welsh, DH English and we live in England. If DS had been a girl he'd have been either Anwen or Ariana, all pretty easy to pronounce.
