Hello all,
struggling with a name for DD. here is our current shortlist; any other suggestions in a similar vein gratefully accepted.

Harriet (Hattie)
Elizabeth (Beth)
Lucy
Martha
Sophie

If we go for a name that we would like shortened, how would you go about it? Announce the shortened version of the name straight away?

bunnybunyip If you like Beth but have doubts about Elizabeth.... what about Bethan?

I've come across a few little Jacobs. Their sisters are called:

Martha
Rebecca
Esme
Tabitha

Jacob and Sophie sound lovely together.

Harriet, Imogen, Lucy
or
Elin, Harper, Seren...

Esther?

Adore Martha and adore Harriet (with Hattie as nn - very cute!)

Sophie and Lucy are nice, plain and simple names - yo0u can't really go wrong with those - just a bit too 'boring' for me.
