Another literary influenced name - I know she came to a bit of a sticky end - but I love Tess. Does it sound awful with Thomas as a surname??

like tess but with thomas it's not great not just the alliteration but too many siblant s sounds too close together iyswim .

theresa thomas nn tess or tessa might be better
thea thomas is also nice .

Oh my gosh, I totally misunderstood the first line there! Thought you meant someone had named their child Alliteration O_O

Agree with Freesias - Theresa or Tessa would be better with Thomas.

Converse · 22/05/2011 18:58

I like Tess but agree that Theresa (with Tess for short) would sound better.

deliakate · 22/05/2011 20:04

I prob would christen Theresa and use nn Tess. But isn't that just the same - if its used every day anyway......|?

I love alliterations (I was a BB until I married) but Tess Thomas is too much imo.

Emelene · 22/05/2011 21:03

Not a fan of the name Tess Thomas to be honest, to many similar sounds.

Mumswang · 22/05/2011 21:14

I like it. But then I am somthing similar so would say that

brightcopperkettles · 23/05/2011 02:50

I think it's a bit too much as they both start and end with the same sound iyswim. Agree that Thea Thomas is better.

PrincessScrumpy · 23/05/2011 08:41

Tessa Thomas works, then you can go for Tess as a nn. I love the name but dh vetoed it.

oohlaalaa · 23/05/2011 11:24

Theresa Thomas works

diddl · 23/05/2011 12:30

If you really like it, go for it!

I think Tessa goes better than Tess, but think that Theresa is awful tbh.
