Oh heck. Help appreciated please with traditional boy's names.

Surname is a 3-syllable Mac name.

I don't want to influence suggestions but current likes include Douglas and Aidan (Aiden? - what's the standard spelling?)

thanks

FWIW I really quite like Douglas

My fave name of all, but couldn't use it as we live in a country where no-one knows how to pronounce an 'H':

Hector

I also really liked Oscar (but DH didn't, due to being a former president of aforementioned country)

Has anyone mentioned Lewis?

primalero · 21/05/2011 21:11

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to be flippant here but life would be so much easier if I'd been the first in my circle to have a baby. After discounting names used by family and friends, and names of exes.... this is so hard!

If anyone is still reading, which of these do you think work well with a 3-syllable Mac name?

I love Cameron and Aiden (Dh vetoed them - boo). DS2 is Nathaniel which I think is pretty good too!

What does he look like?

Like Glen, Fraser, Rory and Steven from your list and think they'd all sound fine with your surname. Particularly Glen! Thought I'd just add for you:

Logan
Hamish
Fyfe

hpsaucy · 21/05/2011 22:06

Fraser James MacPrima

RainbowShite · 21/05/2011 22:12

I like Rory or Fraser. Let us know what you choose.

tabulahrasa · 21/05/2011 22:25

I like Innes and Matthew, Fraser and Rory are ok - not keen on many of the others at all

AmberPig · 21/05/2011 23:18

Neil - it's more uncommon these days
