posh and frilly

pirateparty · 03/05/2011 10:55

Love it but it is 'posh'.

Pinkjenny · 03/05/2011 10:56

Like it.

smashingtime · 03/05/2011 12:32

Beautiful! I would have chosen something similar myself for dd but had some unfortunate family connotations so I couldn't.

It is posh but in a good way!

valiumbandwitch · 03/05/2011 12:40

Nice buuuuuuuuut, Ara or Arry isn't a nice nick name. I like Bella though.

I'd prefer Christabel which is equally posh but with its feet more on the ground somehow.

qwerty123 · 03/05/2011 13:56

Love it.

MamaLazarou · 03/05/2011 14:04

Horsey

WiiUnfit · 03/05/2011 18:56

It reminds me of Arabiatta, the spicy sauce... sorry! Blush

MelinaM · 03/05/2011 19:04

I don't think it's posh, just rather frilly and quite girlie.

Karbea · 03/05/2011 19:21

Lovely name.

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 03/05/2011 19:46

It's my middle name and I loathe it (sorry!)

Strictly · 03/05/2011 20:34

Reminds me now entirely of himwho thought it was ok to cheat on his wife 6 weeks after having a baby with a 16 year old...

Normally I thinks it's very very posh but now I think when people off Eastenders are calling their DD's it it maybe going to the other way Blush

Maybeitsbecause · 03/05/2011 21:03

Frothy, frilly. Not great.

NorbertDentressangle · 03/05/2011 21:05

Too horsey and jolly hockey-sticks

Trinaluce · 03/05/2011 21:06

Bullied me at school, so I'll never use it...

Nice enough name though, even if my personal experience is somewhat biased against it.

kangers · 03/05/2011 21:13

what about annabella? Or annabelle? Less precocious?

I think it is too snooty. Whilst considering Beatrix herself-

lurkerspeaks · 03/05/2011 22:19

A bit Rah.

I was almost called it and am eternally grateful to my Father for intervening.

brightcopperkettles · 04/05/2011 00:21

Not a fan - for some reason conjures up images of a female version of Dudley Dursley (from Harry Potter).

cowboylover · 04/05/2011 00:49

I think its really lovely!

But when I posted my options many comments where my choices where 'frothy and frilly' so thats just my style apparently Smile

daisybear · 04/05/2011 09:54

i love it..... but doesn't go with my surname so we can't use itSad

JanMorrow · 04/05/2011 10:26

I love it. So what if it's "posh", a very pretty name.
