Struggling for girls names

After having 4ds we are having a dd and despite having loads of names for the past 8 years for girls we are really struggling to find a name. Her brothers all have very classic english/royal names so it needs to be similar. I hate made up names. I want it to be quite a girly name but also quite a strong name. So far we have come up with the following but can find fault with each
Jemima- another baby in our village has this name
Charlotte- good friends daughter
Madeleine - the obvious connection
Emmeline- my fav at the moment but people will pronounce incorrectly and prob call emily.

Can you give me any more suggestions similar to the above

Lovely names, love emmeline shortened to emme! Only one I am not keen in is jemima, don't really understand why this is getting sooo popular and don't think it is really a very strong name. How about:

Clara
Annabel/Annabelle
Anna
Eloise
Felicity
Genevieve?

All of which I think are v feminine but also v strong....

Beautiful names, especially emmeline. I know an emmeline (23yrs) and she akways gets her full title. I wouldn't have thought you would have Yo exclude jemima for that reason either. Do you like Harriet or clementine? Or Jasmine maybe? Anyway congrats and good luck

Katherine
Beatrice
Miranda
Sophia

Emmeline is nice but would probably end up as Em, unless your DD insisted on full name.
Caroline
Rosalind
Susannah
Louisa
Sarah
Elizabeth
Catherine

Alexandra
Marianne
Christina

How about virtue names? Verity, Charity, Patience, Prudence etc

darleneconnor · 20/04/2011 09:47

Lucinda
Francesca
Josephine
Anna
Rosanna
Susannah

I rather like Madeline (pron. lyne) as in Keats's poem The Eve of St Agnes.

Both spelling and pron. differ it from "the obvious connection". You would get people mispronouncing it at first, sure, but only those who see it written down before they hear it.

Love Emmeline.

How about:

Felicity
Elodie
Harriet
Octavia
Caroline
Helena
Laetitia
Georgina
Virginia
Josephine
Rosanna

oohlaalaa · 20/04/2011 10:22

or Christina

Love Emmeline - I'm a teacher and haven't come across one yet. Nice to be a little bit unique. Mine are Elizabeth and May so I'm probably biased.

blueberryjam · 20/04/2011 13:43

Fab suggestions I quite like Miranda and love Clementine and Clara .

Cecily?

CarefulWithThatAxeEugene · 20/04/2011 13:55

Caroline would fit with your "English royal" style names. Haven't seen this name mentioned much, so it may not be over-popular like Eleanor, Matilda etc.

Junebugjr · 20/04/2011 14:05

Diana?

Love this name but dp vetoed it!

pilates · 21/04/2011 17:55

Def Emmeline

Also like Claudia, Lydia, Matilda, Madeline, Constance
