Well OK SF, I'll let you off. Wink I suspect SEA won't be as contrite. She means what she says.

i like Monty. Just saying.

For dd, Kitty, Daisy, Clemmie. These have all come up on this thread and I think they are very pretty and go nicely with Monty.

pilates · 15/04/2011 08:26

I really like Monty too.

For DD, I think Emmeline is really nice, my favourite name at the mo, and sounds really nice with Monty.

Also like Clarice and Cerys.

Have you had a bad day SEA?

southeastastra · 15/04/2011 09:20

im sorry i was rude to say what i think, no need to call me a weirdo

I have a Monty, and the three others have odd/posh names too. Suck it up SEA Grin. I would def call the next girl Mabel or Celeste when i can get dh drunk enough to agree to another one

southeastastra · 15/04/2011 10:09

well the weirdo comment pissed me off - i am sorry for being a twunk though

burntsienna · 15/04/2011 10:25

Back to Araminta, I think Monty & Minty would rock Smile

AND I don't see any reason why people shouldn't express their opinions.

Stropperella · 15/04/2011 10:36

Have to say that I had no idea that people worry about their children's names going with each other. I only found this out from MN. To me it seems very strange, but now see that my attitude may seem horribly careless to other people. :) I made entirely random choices based on what my gut feeling was at the time and it never occurred to me to even think about whether the dcs' names "went with each other". We may be family, but having the same surname is enough in the matchy-matchy dept, is my feeling. But each to their own.

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 15/04/2011 11:48

I think this should be a place for expressing preferences from a list, or to offer suggestions based on the kind of names that the OP likes, or names of other children - and the benefits of doing this on an internet forum is that you are away from family and friends who can be horribly unkind.

I can't see why getting personal and making personal and rude comments is helpful.

Anyway, we considered Monty for DS2 but went with Angus in the end.

Our DDs are called Romilly and Nancy.

What about Josephine nn Posy - I'd've loved this but DS1 is called Joseph.

Other suggestions:

Ianthe
Perdita
Tess
