I want a 2 syllable male name starting with Bran- not Brandon, Brannon or Branson (as those have all been vetoed by dh). Have your books got any other choices?

Also I need 2 syllable 'K' or hard 'C' name, like Kenneth (which dh also vetoed as sounding 30's middle class), for a middle name...

(My original thought was Brannon William Kenneth) but like I said dh was all :( abt the B and the K names...

Love Branwell, how about:

Branard
Branch ...yes apparently soGrin
Brandell
Brandt
Brannon
Branwill
Branwyll ...a lovely Welsh name.

WalterFlipschicks · 14/04/2011 13:48

Yippee!! Although Maddy is a bit girly imo? Not sure...

Tuggy · 14/04/2011 15:04

Madock looks better to me than Madoc. Madoc looks 'unfinished' somehow.

bebemooneedsabreak · 14/04/2011 15:38

Maddy does look girlly, but it's kinda what you'd fall into... unless we call him Doc for short Grin

Melinda- Branwyll looks interesting... hmmm I might still get a little Bran Grin

Nick names are what you make of them and they tend to generate themselves.

There is a TV show on at the minute featuring two blokes on a canal boat. One of them in known by his nn "Mave" (His surname is Davis, so I can only guess Mavis Davis) but he does not seem to mind.

WalterFlipschicks · 14/04/2011 16:30

Grin Mavis David!!! Yes you would slip into that, and I suppose it's not girly if your are calling it to a boy.
A friend of mine has a son with the nn Cassie

Janoschi · 14/04/2011 17:31

Madoc could be shortened to Doc. Which in my opinion is waaaaay cool.
