Can't decide between 2 girls names!

We are stuck between choosing Alice or Philippa (Pippa) for our first DD.
Already have an Oliver and an Edward (Teddy)

The boys have voted one each for each of the names and DH and I just cant decide.

I love them both but am slightly put off Alice by it being so pretty/girly and what if DD is a rough and tumble toy boy?
Also slghtly nervous of Philippa as DS1 has a slight speech delay and pronounces it 'Flipper' at the moment. Would she get called Flipper by other kids? Will people laugh that DS1 says 'Flipper' instead of Philippa?

What shall we choose? Votes please!!!

Alice.. I think Teddy and Pippa are just too posh much together.

And Ali has spunk.. Love it!

Like them both, Alice slightly more and is on our list too! (and our boys name list consists of Oliver and Edward!)

Hello pirateparty what other girls names do you have on your list, just out of interest? Seeing as we seem to have similar taste, perhaps you have something I havent thought of!

Philippa is nice but it's a feminine version of a boy's name and you already have two boys. Alice is lovely, and definitely a girl's name though imo not frilly. So I would go with Alice.

I prefer Alice. Both nice names though. I love your boys names too.

Love Alice, think it suits most types of girls. Beware though I have friend called Alice and we call her 'Al' most of the time - not sure if that's what you would want. Don't like the name Phillipa at all sorry - reminds me of Malory Towers or something.

I like both and think that they both suit your boys names. I imagine Philippa could be more of a tomboy type than Alice. Having said that I don't necessarily think Alice is too girly, not as girly as say annabel or Isabella.

don't like Pip, pp, Pippa... prefer to use the name you're going to call the child as the given name on the birth certificate but I am unusual in that respect as a lot of people seem to like a birth certificate name and then call their kids the nickname.
