Ginnifer if DS had been born a DD. I loved Ginny but hated every other name it was short for.

And Matthew for DS. Nothing wrong with it but I'm a bit meh about it now.

wheredidyoulastseeit · 27/03/2011 23:24

Ursula for dd1 and glad I didn't use it, Lucien for Ds1 which was vetoed by dh and by ds1 once he knew about my love of the name but I still really like the name Lucien, I think there is a kitten or puppy in the future which will get the name.

LittleCheesyPineappleOne · 27/03/2011 23:26

Imogen if DS1 had been a DD. It's an ok name, but has got quite popular. We did have our DD eventually, but she has a much nicer and more timeless name IMO.

GetOrfMoiLand · 27/03/2011 23:26

DD would have been a Francesca, I am so glad I didn't call her that, I think it is a vile name now.

If a boy she would have been Reuben or Zacharias. I don't know what was going on in my head at the time, what crap names.

DD is called Sophia.

When I had dd 11 years ago - Morgan!! Oh thank goodness I didn't call her that!

Ds2 was nearly Luca as he is half Italian, but he took after me and is v v blond and it just wouldnt have suited him. Also, it makes me squirm hearing some accents saying it.......

Hassled · 28/03/2011 16:45

Sebastian. I still quite like it, but with the double-barrelled surname I might as well have been thinking of calling DS2 Little Lord Fauntleroy.

FollowMe · 28/03/2011 16:46

Nearly called ds2 Leo and went off it the minute he was born. Still dont like it!

suburbanslob · 28/03/2011 16:48

Quentin

ithaka · 28/03/2011 16:52

Olivia and Sophia were both on our shortlist. Nice names, but so popular now, I am glad we didn't use them.

moaningminniewhingesagain · 28/03/2011 16:53

Ava. DD (if she turned out to be a girl, of course) was going to be Ava all the way through my pregnancy, then I changed my mind in the last fortnight.

Then Myleene Klass called hers Ava around the same time and I was glad I hadn't. Still a lovely name though, but DD is not an Ava anyway. She really suits her nameSmile

TooManyBlossoms · 28/03/2011 18:44

Taylor or Tyler for dd. Not that it's any excuse, but I was only 20 at the time...

ValiumSingleton · 28/03/2011 18:45

All sorts of crazy things. Dahlia and Fresia Blush

MumInBeds · 28/03/2011 18:50

Genevieve, I still really like the name and she would have been a Genny but my MIL would have pronounced it the French way and my parents kept going on about the film.

Greenwing · 28/03/2011 20:09

Clodagh

What was I thinking of? Thank goodness I had a boy.

Kaekae · 28/03/2011 20:17

Archie and either Amelia or Megan....can't stand any of them now!

Rhubarbgarden · 28/03/2011 20:20

Linnet. I still love it but she would have spent her whole life explaining it was a completely different name from Lynette.

marriednotdead · 28/03/2011 20:30

DD1 was going to be Ricky for a boy (variant of xp's name), or Bianca.
Disclaimer- this was in the days before EE, just a bizarre coincidence!

DS Tico or Lucas

FellatioNelson · 28/03/2011 21:11

I really wanted to call DS2 Riley (he's nearly 16 so I was VERY ahead of the curve Grin) but everyone over-ruled me, so he got it as a middle name instead. I'm so relieved now as it has turned out to be the new Gary/Darren/Lee of its time.

ValiumSingleton · 28/03/2011 21:33

Clodagh is lovely! (although a little too popular here in Ireland)

BadRoly · 28/03/2011 21:38

DD1 was going to be Ralf (I know), George or Mallory (again)

teenyweenytadpole · 28/03/2011 21:40

Jade - considered for DD2, to be fair we were living in Asia at the time and thought it was kind of a cultural reference.

Elliott - also considered for DD2 when we thought she might turn out to be a DS1!
