Is Kerry unisex?

I've heard of boys with this name before, and definitely in Aus. Is Kerry a boys name too in the UK?

I've only know if girls with it here, but I've led a sheltered life....

Ceri is a boy's name (Welsh I believe) - have never heard of a boy having the Kerry spelling though.

Yes, here in Wales there are boys and men called Ceri.

I've known one, an older gentleman who spelt it "Ceri".

I'd expect it to be a girls' name.

I've met 2 men called Kerry (spelt Kerry), both when I lived in London, as well as several here in Wales spelt Ceri.

I knew a male Kerry too. Unfortunately most people now think 'Katona' when the name is mentioned though.

Yes it is unisex. I knew of a male Kerry/Ceri years ago, but I'm not sure on the spelling for a male.

The Ceri spelling can be used for a girl too, as it's short for the Welsh name Ceridwen,

haven't heard of a male Kerry, I have a male friend called Kim and he had a lot of hassle at school for having a 'girl's name'.

If I met a man over 55 called Kerry i wouldn't be surprised. I quite like unisex names on men but not on women (most people the other way around I think). eg Sandy and Kim would be so cute on a boy imo

Very girly name in England. I grew up in London where Kerry, Kara, Kelly etc were all v popular for girls. A male Kerry would have been ripped to shreds.

I didn't know it could be a girls name until I moved to England!
Growing up in Wales I've always through of it as a boy's name but spelt Ceri and not Kerry.
There is a tiny subtle difference in how the two names are pronounced. The boys name has a softer 'e' than the girls which is a harder 'e' sound.

I know of an adult male Kerry - he's about 40 now so I guess it wasnt such a popular girl's name at that time.

To me Ceri is definitely a girl's name but Kerry is either.

It technically is unisex, but I think most peoples first thought on seeing the name written or hearing it spoken will be that Kerry is a girl.

The only male Kerry I can think of is the Canadian actor Kerry Shale.
