Male name associations...

First baby, don't know the sex. We've picked a girl's name or two, but completely stuck on a boy's name (so it must be one!) - due in three weeks...

Curious to what associations you make with these names that we currently like, rather than if you like or dislike - what do you think?

Barnaby
Barney
Edward (although we'd call him Ned)
Frederick
Henry
Joby
Kit
Theo

Middle name John after both our fathers.

Thank you!

@theeffinoasis - course not, go for it!

I don't mind if others like or dislike a name. But to ask a wide group of people think of associations is helpful, as we ran out of ideas quite quickly.

If the strongest association to a name is 'a bit posh' or 'like a bear', well, there are worse names to go through life with =)

Thanks again everyone, really helped us think these through.

Barnaby- too posh, trying too hard.
Barney- Bear or Rubble or CBBC chap.
Edward (Ned) - classic can't go wrong and can change nn if he likes.
Frederick - loving Freddie, very rock and roll.
Henry- posh public school type blond hair rugby shirt buck teeth.
Kit - too weak
Joby - bit too different, others could think chavvy when not knowing family association.
Theo - Kojak, fine if Greek.
