Middle name for Pippa

We have almost settled on Pippa for our 3rd daughter, due in the summer but can't decide on a middle name, I'd really like something that flows well so we can call her the full name on occasions.
I like Isabella and Lily but don't think the really flow
My family name is Lucia so this could be a possibility (Not sure about both names ending in A though), think Pippa Lu could be cute nickname.
I do like the sound of 1 syllable names like, Pippa May, Pippa Rose or Pippa Grace but don't particularly like these names!
My 2 daughters are called Ava Wallis (a family name) and Gracie Violet
I do like really pretty, girly possibly floral names
HELP!

Ah I was just going to suggest Rose (my DD's middle name) but i see you're not keen.

Needaname · 09/03/2011 19:24

She is Pipsqueak sometimes too! Rose is popular - what about Rosalind or Rosamund ( both Shakespearean) or Rosita. And I teach a little girl called Rosebud.

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 09/03/2011 19:50

What about Pippa Ann or Pippa Iris?

MrsVidic · 09/03/2011 19:52

Just thought I'd post as it's my name and I love it! Can be shortened well and is unusual

FattyArbuckel · 09/03/2011 19:55

Pippa Josephine - PJ

Underachieving · 09/03/2011 20:08

Saw the thread title and immediately thought of Pippa Lucy and a load of other L names so Pippa Lucia is really similar. (Especially if it's loo-see-ya rather than loo-chee-ya)

Onion1968 · 09/03/2011 20:16

err Pippa Lily sounds like piccallili (or however you spell it) so no.

An I name eg Isabella or Iris does not flow after the ..pa sound.

Pippa Grace is nice.

PepsiPopcorn · 09/03/2011 21:48

Pippa Jasmine
Pippa Cathryn
Pippa Louise
Pippa Miriam
Pippa Ruth
Pippa Estelle
Pippa Annabel
Pippa Harriet
Pippa Lucy
Pippa Ivy

Cazzabelle · 10/03/2011 09:26

OMG Piccalilly! So glad you pointed that out!
Really liking Annabelle, as a little less popular than Isabelle which I love and my name ends in Anne.
Also loved the Rosebud idea but just suggested it to my 4 year old and she laughed and asked if I was joking! :(
Lots of ideas thanks everyone x

Pippa Ruth is lovely.

MrsBloomingTroll · 10/03/2011 12:16

OP, do you know the story about why Pippa Funnell had to change her name during the Athens Olympics?

If you plan to ever go to Greece, I'd suggest Googling it and maybe call her Philippa, nn Pippa? I know a Philippa and lots of people call her Pippa.

Sorry to put a dampener on things. I love the names you've suggested but, because we love to travel, I try to look at the international meanings of my DC's names before choosing!

Sorry sorry sorry sorry

greenzebra · 10/03/2011 12:28

I like Pippa Lucia, think thats a lovely choice go with that good history behind it to.

candleshoe · 10/03/2011 13:22

'Pipa' (pronounced Pippa) in Greek is slang for a sexual act...

Well I never knew that!

Cazzabelle · 10/03/2011 19:23

I had done a bit of research and think it means rude things in several contries! :0 I don't think anyone I know would associate but maybe as she gets older could be an issue?

I have a Philippa Imogen (aged 5 months), she is usually Pippa, Pippa Dee, Pippi. Is a lovely name.Grin I do like the sound of Pippa Lu- maybe Philippa Louise (I have a soft spot for Louise as a middle name - child of the 70's emoticon)

candleshoe · 10/03/2011 20:34

I like Pippa Louise (best buddy during my idyllic 70s childhood was Louise!)

Underachieving · 10/03/2011 21:33

If you called her Phillipa officially but always used Pippa she'd have the choice what to call herself if she travelled?

Blatherskite · 10/03/2011 21:48

Sorry but ever since I learned (on Mumsnet) that Pippa meant what it does in another country, it's all I think of when I hear the name.

Jezabelle · 10/03/2011 21:59

Eve. Beautiful.
Is the vowel at the beginning a problem? What about Neve (sorry, shocking spelling I know, can never remember real spelling - dyslexic).

MerryMarigold · 10/03/2011 22:17

Pippa Jasmine?
Pippa Jane
Pippa Rosemary instead of Rose

PurveyorOfWoo · 10/03/2011 22:19

Pippa Suzanne?
