Dads name for middle name

Hunting for middle name for DS2, I'd like to use DH's name, but he thinks that when they are older DS1 might wonder why he hasn't got daddy's name too, when DS2 has got it, and feel a bit 'left out'. DS1 has my Grandads name for middle name. I think they couldn't really both the same name anyway, and DH is worrying too much. Opinions please!

My brothers I have three of them, the oldest has a grandfathers name as his middle name, the second has our Dads name and my little brother has our dads name and another grandads name. Its a bit complicated my older brothers have a different mother to my younger brother and I.
My second oldest brother never had any ill feeling from our oldest brother. I think its nice to use family names it links them to their past.

Also my husband is one of 5 brothers and the third brother got the fathers name, my husband is put out by this but that is because he has got a middle name that means nothing in the family, he has just said to me it wouldnt bother him so much if his middle name meant something.

No problem at all.

It is lovely to use family names and they can't all have the same one!

They will both know that they have the names of special men in their family Smile

Ds has dh's name as his middle.

If dc2 was a boy they'd have bil's name in middle
Dc2 is a girl apparently so she's having mil's name as middle.

Our reasoning - we like the way they sound with chosen first names, names on my side are weird/ too old/ dated etc.

If anyone has issue then tough- same as our choices for first name. :)

My Brother has my Dad's name as a middle name; Dad has his Dad's name as a middle name, and technically I have Mum's first name as my middle name (but she's never used her first name - always her middle name - as her first name was the same as her mum's first name.

None of the rest of us use our middle names really (well I guess I sign work stuff with my initials including the "M") but brother has 2 middle names and spelt one of them wrong on his UCAS form as he'd written it so rarely!!

My brother and his son both have my dad's name as their middle name. Ds has dh's name as middle name. That came as very last minute suggestion from dh as 'proud daddy' moment, which I was happy with.
