love both names, but lots of sienna's round here, and lots of negative comments for tallulah, so anything similar??

Seona?

I don't think Tallulah is underused at all - there are 2 at ds's school. I have never met a Sienna though.

How about Cecily, Clementine, Margot, Saffron, Cordelia, Melody, Jessamine, Althea, Beatrix, Xanthe, Marianne, Astrid.

kizzibear · 20/02/2011 11:24

if u look at the national statistics tallulah is miles down the list. Sienna is 49. So it is v underused in the whole country

tallulah that is. Love Jessamine but seems to be Jessica and Jasmine mixed up.

tummytickler what do people at your ds school think of tallulah? Honestly, ie parents opinions and the kids opinions?

I always think that Tallulah sounds like a comedy name, or one given to a show girl. Sorry!

purepurple · 20/02/2011 11:31

I recently met a teenage Cecelia. Very pretty.

Highlandgirl · 20/02/2011 11:31

Savannah?

tummytickler · 20/02/2011 11:41

I don't know what people think of Tallulah. Nobody has ever mentioned it really for good or bad. I think it is accepted as a normal name.
I just asked ds who is sitting next to me and has one in his class and he said it is nice Grin

UrsulaBuffay · 20/02/2011 11:41

Cecelia or Celia is beautiful, gorgeous, as is Celeste.

mumincognito · 20/02/2011 11:41

Serena?

ValiumSandwich · 20/02/2011 12:32

Every second sleb has a tallulah. jesse wallace, demi moore.. there's somebody else too. It'll come to me.

Posy and Sienna go well together without sounding too matchy or too much.

Here in Cornwall Sennen and Zennor get semi-frequent use as girls names, being very beautiful places locally. So does Senara which is the old name for Zennor, before it was anglicised.

I would go for Senara.

Galdem · 20/02/2011 14:51

Tallulah - Angela Griffin / Griffth or whatever that one from Waterloo Rd is called.

Savannah? Some will say 'chavvy' on MN, though, for sure

brummiemummie · 20/02/2011 15:45

Shona? Don't know how underused that is, have never met one round here...

Saskia?

Stella?

misfitmum · 20/02/2011 15:48

Sierra?

sparkle12mar08 · 20/02/2011 18:17

My honest opinion of Tallulah is that it's either very Z-list celeb wannabe or lower class/common. I really dislike it, brings up images of wild west bar girls - easy virtues and slack morals, that kind of thing. Savannah, Sienna, Sierra etc all feel the same as Tallulah to me.

There are some beautiful names on OliveMalays list and of all those mentioned so far my favourite would definately be Cecelia. Very classy and classic.

SilkStalkings · 20/02/2011 19:58

Lowenna (another Cornish one)
Rowena
Seren (Welsh for star)
Mariella

PhishFoodAddiction · 20/02/2011 20:01

I was going to suggest Seren too.

Tallulah will always be that bird from the Maisy Mouse books to me! Grin

Sarsaparilllla · 20/02/2011 20:10

Sorrel or Serena?

mistressploppy · 20/02/2011 20:13

My cousin has a Maisy and a Tallulah, PhishFood! That clears up that mystery!
