If I already have a Finn? He is officially a Finlay but I only ever call him Finn.

Are Finn & Yann too much? We have another DS (George) so the set would be Finn, George and Yann.

Usable??

Is it a name? Jan would be better.

i do think it is a bit similar to Finn, sorry.

BooBooGlass · 29/01/2011 15:32

Regardless of your other dc's names, I think Yann is a bit odd. Sorry.

bluebump · 29/01/2011 15:32

I know a French Yann. I think they are alright together.

hereford75 · 29/01/2011 15:33

Yes it is a name. Thanks for your opinion (although it wasn't what I wanted to here :))

I think they sound too much alike (sorry).

Would you consider a longer version, Yannick?

BooBooGlass · 29/01/2011 15:44

Yannick sounds like someone with hiccups

onimolap · 29/01/2011 15:46

I was thinking of the tennis player - pronounced (by commentators at least) as Yan-neek

hereford75 · 29/01/2011 15:50

Yannick is a diminutive of Yann so I'd rather just stick with the original Yann (which I much prefer too).

I know a Yann .. but a Finn / Yann combo is a bit too much. I'm thinking Finn Yann Tann or Klu klux clann Blush

fragglerocks · 29/01/2011 16:34

I like Yann, I know an adult Yann and he's yummy lovely!
I think Yann and Finn are ok together

PlanetLizard · 29/01/2011 16:36

Personally I think it's too similar to Finn.

cece · 29/01/2011 16:42

I know a Jan - not sure about the spelling of Yann.

I think they go alright together as they don't rhyme or anything do they?

Expecting06112010 · 29/01/2011 17:28

you could use it, although im not too sure why you would want to Confused

Mumbybumby · 29/01/2011 17:34

I know a French Yann too - one of the loveliest, most genuine people I've ever met (teeny crush!).
I like the name and think it's fine with Finn.

Expecting06112010 · 29/01/2011 17:53

ok now im feeling a little left out because i dont know a french Yann Grin

BarbieLovesKen · 29/01/2011 20:52

Oooh no. Finn and George are such lovely names. Dont ruin them by adding in Yann!!!

annasophia · 29/01/2011 21:02

German options include

Yannick
Jan (pronounced Yan)

I'd use Yannick and shorten to Yann. I don't think it is too similar to Finn.
