Eloise or Elise?

We won't even get started on the boys names because that is proving to be a complete nightmare for OH and I to decide - but on the girls names we have narrowed it down to Elise or Eloise.

We have a short (3 letter) surname so I think the extra syllable in Eloise is better but DH likes Elise. Your opinions would be great, thanks!

Eloise is the nicer name

I love Eloise. It looks lovely and means 'sun'. What's not to like? Smile

They are both really pretty and I know several of each!

Elise is lovely. I'm not so keen on Eloise.

Not so sure on your boys names.

Elise is a car to me and I never know if it is Eleese or Eleeze.

Definitely Eloise for me.

I prefer Elise.

Eloise and Otis = gorgeous!

CDMforever · 02/02/2011 21:37

I always thought Eloise was pronounced ell-wars.
But apparently not.
I prefer Elise. Beautiful.

Elise because of 'Fur Elise'.

Curtis is nice in an old fashioned American sort of way, same with Otis. Spencer and Harrison are both Americanish too.. I don't like Glynn or Travis at all.

Elise. Simple and pretty.
