Matilda - wife of King Stephen?
Harriet - sister of boy in DS's old class
Imogen - know a few who are 5 and under
Eleanor - know an 11 year old one
Elizabeth - my sister :)

Oliver - know a few; one of them is the new brother of an Imogen :)
Isaac - one in DD's class - I always worry I will spell it wrong
Wilfred - brother of the Eleanor I know. I also had a toy sheep called Wilfred when I was little

Blake - poet's surname

Matilda - Roald Dahl book and the annoying girl who played her in the film
Harriet - Smith from Doctor Who

Matilda - Roald Dahl heroine and I know about five tillys
Harriet - My friends daughter lovely girl known as Hattie.
Imogen - I know four who are 19 now most known as imy.
Eleanor - I mnow an 18 year old who I was nanny to known as Ellie or els.Lovely name.
Elizabeth - The Queen and I know a thirteen year old known as Lizzie.
Oliver - The only Oliver I`ve known tried to hit me with a cricket bat,or please sir I want some more Oliver Twist.
Isaac - I know a seven year old
Wilfred - owen WW1 Poet,and I know a six year old known as Wilf
Sebastian - Iknow three and Lord Coe.
Blake - Carrington was it dynasty?

Harriet - Posh, arty, 'striking' (as in Harriet Vane from the Lord Peter Wimsey books)
Imogen - Posh, arty, beautiful (as in Imogen Stubbs)
Eleanor - American/Eleanor Farjeon
Elizabeth - Basically fantastic, but depends slightly on the shortening used

Oliver - posh, pleasant
Isaac - popular
Wilfred - 99 years young and the cheekiest chap in the nursing home
Sebastian - Brideshead
Blake - silver haired oil billionaire

BTW probably my choices if restricted to those would be Imogen and Isaac.

I love all of them apart from Wilfred and Blake. Wilfred - don't know why-
Blake - just think of Blake Carrington (another showing my age! Dynasty) or Blake's Seven
Please don't use these! Would be a crime when you have so many other fab names.

Elizabeth - a lovely middle class girl, prefer the Elisabeth spelling

Isaac - Hayes - Shaft (or chgef from South Park). Mummy thinks it's funky.
Wilfred - an old man, not grampa chic at all, would feel sorry for a boy called Wilfred (even though one of DS's midle names is Fred!)

Matilda I remember a cautionary tale (or was it a cautionary poem?) about a girl named Matilda who burned her house down and all that was left was her little red shoes . It really fascinated me as a child I apparently drew many pictures of houses on fire and pairs of red shoes . I love the name -- Matilda was a very spunky, headstrong little Edwardian gal as far as I remember; if she had survived the fire I like to think she would have grown up into a Bright Young Thing of the 20s.
Harriet -- has a nice 18th century ring to it; stylish, imo, and I like the nn Harryo as in the DD of Georgiana 'the Duchess'.
Imogen -- plain Jane name, in the same category as Megan in my book.
Eleanor nice "Eleanor of Aquitaine' springs to mind. I think of it as an elegant medieval name.
Elizabeth -- Classic, eternal sort of name.

Oliver -- I think of this as an early modern Europe name; lovely sound.
Isaac -- lovely and lovely meaning. I think of Victorian self-made men from the North when I hear this name. Non-conformists.
Wilfred -- old man name that is only popular because there are too many Alfies and people are casting around for something along those lines but not 'Alfie'.
Sebastian -- martyr, Brideshead revisited, tragedy and off-putting skin conditions.
Blake -- American escapist TV series of the 70s or 80s; no positive thoughts, therefore. William Blake is edged out by the thoughts of 80s fashions and hair.
