Rose - too popular

I have always wanted to call any daughter Rose because it is my grandmothers name and also i had a dream where we had a daughter called Rose.

But it seems to be the most common middle name for girls! Everyone is using it.

Do you think it matters?

No not if you like it, I only know 1 Rose, it is nowhere near Evie/Isabelle etc.

I love it as a first name, too. Have only heard it as a middle or Rosie as a first name round here.

I hardly EVER hear it as a 1st name. Mainly qa middle name :)

I teach and have never taught a Rose and I don't know any through my children.

Lovely as a first name, adore Rosa too.

I've only ever met 2 Roses, one is 6 and one was my Aunt. It is popular as a middle name, but honestly, how often do we use our middle names?

My dd is Rose , she is 18 and doesn't know any other Roses. is a fab name ,despite the fact her friends call her roro

Rose is beautiful and if it's a family name you've got dibs on it anyway IMO! If any tw** tries to tell you you picked a popular name, you just say, "it was my grandmother's name".

I don't know any Roses BTW, a Rosa which is gorgeous too.

I would love to have Rose/Rosa/Rosalind/Rosalie for my DC if it's a girl - I don't know any first-name Roses.

Unfortunately, DH is not a fan at all, he thinks it's old-fashioned, can't persuade him :(

I only know a Rose over 90, and a Rosa 17-ish.

Several Rosies though, all in secondary school.

Rose or Rosa would be lovely and uncommon.

Through my 2 dd's we have come across a Rosa and a Rosie, no Rose, there are not many of them about x

DD1 is Rosie, named after the nicest person I have ever known. She (older Rosie) doesnt know that. DD1's big name is Rosalind.

i have a rose and i know of no others. i still love the name, it's classic but pretty and simple. oh and she too gets 'roro'.

Rose is my niece, it's a beautiful name and she's a beautiful baby!!

Don't know any little Roses... Rosies (several) and a couple of Rosas.

It's very nice and has been said despite over-use as a MN isn't that common as a first name.
