Could I call my DD Seren if her brother is called Ben?

Yes

Komondor · 17/11/2010 09:26

Yes.

My DH loves the name Seren.

Duffstuff · 17/11/2010 09:40

Thanks

I do love it, but do you think both names rhyme a little too much when said together Hmm. This is the only thing holding me back a little.

I guess you could always add an 'a' to the end, Serena, unless you hated the way it changed the sound of the name ofcourse.

Duffstuff · 17/11/2010 11:08

Violet5 - This is what I was considering on the other thread but I really do prefer Ser-e-na, than ser-ee-na Sad

If you love Seren, go for it!

I can think of lots of people with DCs with more similar sounding names, often with same first letters (e.g. Isaac and Isobel)

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 17/11/2010 11:31

I don't think they really rhyme. The stress sounds more like it's on the first syllable in Seren, to me.

Duffstuff · 17/11/2010 20:57

Thanks ladies Smile

Think they are fine together and both lovely names Smile

Rhubarbgarden · 17/11/2010 23:22

Yes. Seren is better than Serena.

Duffstuff · 18/11/2010 08:13

So now I am thinking:

Seren Felicity (surname)

or

Felicity Seren (surname)

or possibly, on the more popular side

Felicity Rose mmmmmmm Hmm
