DeVeerie - they're Shona (ZImbabwean) names Smile - DS1 was the only one I knew with his name......until the owners of the corner shop had a baby recently and called him the same name Shock!

FWIW - as we seem to be adding middle names their middle names are

Yehudi

their middle names are all after senior ladies in our families they didn't get the chance to meet so quite traditional.

thefirstmrsDeVeerie · 05/11/2010 21:11

Thanks Mamo they are lovely. I have always lived in very culturally diverse areas and I have never heard them Smile

So we are doing middle names are we?

in no particular order

Well we wanted Zimbabwean names that weren't in the family........exH's family is huge so that narrowed it down an awful lot. So they're all fairly common names out there, and pretty unusal here (apart from the Tafara living 2 minutes walk away from us now Wink)
