Please choose one or the other!

Once again we are still unsure about which name to choose. We have now decided on either:

Charis (rhymes with Paris)

or

Tamsin

Please could you say which name you think is nicest. Our DD1 is called Valentina so bear that in mind too.

CHARIS, by a mile.

Charis but what puts me off it is people might pronounce it with a hard CH.

I wanted to call DD Tamsin but Dh wouldn't have it. I STILL mention it now and DD is 13...

I love the name Zara too. I loveall three names, but in order of preference:

Zara
Lauren

Afraid I dont like Tamsin.

The only thing with Zara is the connection to the shops....do you think this is a problem? I think Valentina and Zara probably sound the best together.

Sorry but isn't Charis the name of a type of Marijuana? Might be Charice...I'll check...you don't want people thinkin of that!

Charis is a lovely name, but I think you'll be forever telling people how to spell it. I think you need a pretty strong name to go with Valentina. What about:

Love Valentina and think Zara is nice but imo a sister for Valentina needs to have a name with some feminine drama!

I like Charis. If you plan to live in the UK, you might want to consider spelling it in a way that the "K" prounciation is more obvious...

I know a Charis, she is lovely, and spelling is not an issue. Some people need to be told once, and that's it.

Valentina and Zara (like)
Valentina and Lauren (not sure on the names together).

If Valentina is ever shortened to Tina, then Tina and Lauren go together.

I always associate Lauren with Lauren Bacall.

With Valentina I like Xanthe too.

Ooooh...someone mentioned the Charis- cannabis connection before but didn't think it was very well known. Maybe we will have to re-think Charis....oh so confusing! Does anyone have any other suggestions that would work with Valentina??
