Hello, help please! DH is convinced we're having a boy and therefore doesn't like to talk much about girls' names. I'm thinking of a combination of 2 of the 3 names above. Surname is Evans.

I'd love Rebecca to be in there somewhere (from the Daphne du Maurier book which is my favourite).

What are people's comments on any of the poss combo's of these 3 names? The other 2 are just names that I like the sound of. Am also a bit concerned that if we go with Charlotte, will people drop the T sound at the end? I think it will be ok when saying the full name Charlotte Evans but does anybody have any experience with this - or do you think I'm stressing too much about this?! Confused

I think all 3 names are good and will go well in any combination with your surname

But I think Rebecca Charlotte Evans is probably the best.

I like Charlotte best

They will shorten Charlotte anyway so I wouldn't worry about the T sound.
Charlotte Imogen
Rebecca Imogen
are both nice. I would have Imogen in the middle (only because I really like the other 2)

The only one you haven't said is my current favourite - Charlotte Rebecca Evans! Do you think it's too boring though? Have just been on the Beauden / Winter / Sonnet thread and am a bit paranoid! Smile

Charlotte Rebecca Evans - lovely.

The 't' sound depends how much you want to worry about it - I don't pronounce the 't' at the end of Charlotte anyway, so it doesn't sound odd or uncomfortable to me to say 'Charlotte Evans' [shar-luh eh-vans]. If you want to avoid the glottalising of the t, avoid the South East of England. Wink

Charlotte is boring, sorry. Rebecca is a lovely name and Imogen is ok but Charlotte really doesn't inspire me.

anonymosity · 28/10/2010 18:20

They are ALL three lovely names, but watch the number of syllables you're putting together, I think Charlotte Rebecca works and Charlotte Imogen, but I'd pause for thought over Rebecca Imogen as they're both 3 syllable names and will become a bit of a mouthful / tongue twister (possibly).

I have an Imogen Rebecca...

Charlotte Rebecca is lovely, all of your names are.
