I like Sienna, Dulcie, Mia (not Miya though) and Melissa.

Dulcie Mia or Dulcie Melissa would work.

Melissa Mia is ok but could be a bit too similar.

(Amira is a pretty name but sounds Indian/Asian to me - do you have any Indian connection at all?)

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 26/10/2010 18:35

Talullah Miya sounds nice.

candyflossbaby · 26/10/2010 18:36

Oh no we have no indian connection. I really like the name, and have tryed to avoid names which are top 20/30 but names which arnt too uncommon either.

How do you say Dulcie?

candyflossbaby · 26/10/2010 18:38

I think we could spell miya as mya/maya but would prefer the my sound to the me sound.

I think it might work better as a middle name, have tryed diff combo's and cant make it flow as a first name.

What about Amara?

candyflossbaby · 26/10/2010 18:41

I have been saying it as dul-see although some people say dowl-see

Amira Melissa
Melissa Amira

Dullsea map Smile

There was an old school British film star called Dulcie (struggles to remember surname). I like it.

I like Dulcie Sienna but it does have that 'cee-cee' in the middle.
Dulcie Mia

Melissa is a lovely name - due a comeback as well.

candyflossbaby · 26/10/2010 18:46

Thankyou everyone, its nice to beable to stand back and see what you think sounds better, rather than me trying to force two names together :)

Really love Dulcie and Melissa also very pretty name.

candyflossbaby · 26/10/2010 19:20

Does Dulcie make you think of Dolce and Gabbana??

Im glad there are postive reactions to melissa!

minipie · 26/10/2010 19:45

No it doesn't! totally different pronunciation.

If you want a My sound not a Me sound then I would spell it Maia or Maya. (I would pronounce Miya or Mia with a Me sound.)

I guess Melissa is one of those names that has a slightly 70s association so has fallen out of fashion. (Like Nicola and Louise for example). But it's v nice.

gegs73 · 26/10/2010 19:48

I like all the M names especially Miya, but spelt Mia.

candyflossbaby · 26/10/2010 20:10

Marcie and marcia arnt used very much either? Again names that I thought would be more popular.
