On the shortlist of names are Josephine and Beatrice (probably Josie and Bea day to day) - one of these names, not twins! But I'm a first-timer and don't know many little girls - are these names really popular at the moment?
Also like Rose...

Good friend has just called her baby Beatrice, nn Bea. I know of a 30ish Josie.

You know, conversely, Olivia is supposed to be the number 1 girl's name, but I only know one!

I think it really depends on your location and social circle as to what's popular.

Both lovely names. I know one Bea (fabulous name) and I have a Josie (Josephine Clare). So I'm biased, but hey Smile

As for popularity, we've not come across another Josie or Josephine in any of the circles we move in - nursery /friends in London, or among nursery / friends / childminding pals in Kent.

In my experience, elderly ladies who coo over your baby in the street love the name Josie, especially if they're Irish.

I don't know any Josie's or Bea's. Live in northwest.

Both lovely names. We're having Beatrice if it's a girl and don't know of any where we live. From what I've gathered on here lots of Bea's in London but less elsewhere.
