Beatrice, Jemima or Harriet?

Baby due any day and these are the 3 names we've decided to take into the delivery room.

I'm just curious to see which is the most popular choice on mn.

Many thanks

I love all three. I do know several little Beatrices, but that wouldn't put me off. I don't know any Harriets or Jemimas. I love the nn Hattie more than I actually love Harriet.

I probably like Jemima best (Jem for short), then Beatrice, then Harriet.

zenoushka · 17/10/2010 18:31

I love both Harriet and Beatrice.

JentlyDoesIt · 17/10/2010 18:44

Def Jemima - hypothetical DD2's name :o
nn - Jem / Mimi

Minione · 17/10/2010 18:48

I really like Beatrice. Not so keen on the other two, although I don't dislike iykwim.

Valinor · 17/10/2010 18:50

Thanks for the feedback.

We live in the North West and I don't know any babies/children with these names. Interesting that they are really common in London tho. Maybe they will increase in popularity here in the next couple of years?

I swing from one to the other at the mo so I'm hoping that when she arrives she will look like one in particular.

Thanks again for the replies x.

Another vote for Harriet (great name) although the others are quite nice too

chickentwizzler · 18/10/2010 16:54

Harriet, nn Hattie.

NothereisnobodylurkingbehindU · 18/10/2010 17:58

Clarabellarocks - There is at least one little Beatrice in Yorkshire Grin Wink

Matsikula · 18/10/2010 18:01

I like Harriet and Beatrice. Jemima I am a little less keen on it seems a bit prim to me, and it reminds me too much of Jemima Puddleduck.

MardyBra · 18/10/2010 18:10
  1. Beatrice. Quite classy
  2. Harriet. Very nice but quite a few around
  3. Jemima. Not sure if it would fit an adult.

Beatrice....my daughter's name and I love it!

piscesmoon · 18/10/2010 22:28

Harriet

DinahRod · 18/10/2010 22:29

Love Beatrice

JaynieB · 18/10/2010 22:31

I've got a Beatrice too - getting scarily popular though! I'm not in London and at our tiny village school there are already 2 others...

Greenwing · 18/10/2010 22:47
  1. Beatrice
  2. Harriet
  3. Jemima - a bit babyish for a grown woman
Aviendha · 19/10/2010 12:51

Harriet

All gorgeous names Smile

I'm in the NW too, and I have a Harriet. Beatrice and Jemima were on my shortlist too.

CharlieBoo · 19/10/2010 13:36

Jemima is absolutely beautiful, I love, love love it. Beatrice is too royal for me and Harriet is a bit of a tom boys name....

Love Martha too as someone else suggested and Eliza....

BrainMash · 19/10/2010 13:48

I love the name Jemima. Alot. Envy

Bobbiesmum · 19/10/2010 13:51

I have a Harriet, not many around, everyone loves it!
