Can you spell Margot as Margo

I think probably not but I've done a search on the name here and hadn't thought of the maggot connection! Anyone know how likely it is a child will get teased for this? Does Margo just look a bit rubbish though?

And opinions welcome on the name itself of course :) .

Margo is Margo, no possibility for error. Margot looks too posh for me but I am a pauper so feel free to ignore me.

I know a Spanish Margo. We call her Mango.

Well the orphan in 'Despicable Me' is spelt Margo if that helps.

Margot is a fantastic name - I adore it. And the nn Maggie is gorgeous too, what a sweet name for a kid (as long as you can get over the Thatcher connection of course!)

In the spirit of updating, we do indeed have a little Margot :).

One friend calls her Mango which we quite like.

Since having her I've heard of at least six other young Margots.

Margo is the spanish version. I would use Margo or Margot but not Margeaux
