A Sibling for Albert, Christopher, Susanna and Tessa...

Me and DH are out of ideas for DC5 after naming the first 4!

We don't know the sex and don't intend on finding out so need a boy's name and a girl's name.

Our DC are called:
Albert(Albie)
Christopher (Chris)
Susanna (Sookie)
Tessa(Tess)

For middle names we would want to use Raymond William for a boy and Meryl Katherine for a girl which are family names.

Can anyone give us any inspiration at all? Please?

Thanks in advance

(BTW am a namechanger but give out too much information in this post to keep my normal name!)

I think Quentin is a great choice, especially as it is your fifth. Also like Tobias.

Helena and Jennifer are lovely too.

yellowflowers · 30/09/2010 22:47

oooh I am thrilled I came up with some names you like. I like Susanna myself but am worried if we have a girl she will have a lisp like I did as a child which is no good for that name.

Northernlurker · 01/10/2010 00:08

I am absurdly pleased you like Helena (Nell) Grin

My RL name is similar to Helena - it's a good sort of name Grin and Nell sounds lovely with the other dcs.

MollysChambers · 01/10/2010 00:15

I like Helena/Nell. And Juliet/Jules.
Also like James/Jim(my).

BettyAlmighty · 01/10/2010 09:52

Yes! Something else to persuade DH against Amelia thanks Elephants! I want strong daughters not drippy girls!

I do love love love Wilfred but I think DH had set his heart on William as a middle name because it is his brother's name :( might have to show him the reasoning of Wilfred!

yellowflowers Susanna is gorgeous, we didn't even need to think about it, it was just perfect for our DD. If you are worried about a lisp you could always go for nn Anna until the lisp dissipates.

Northern I hadn't even thought of Helena until you suggested it but I love it now! Nell I think fits with the other DC.

I also really admire many famous Helenas especially Helena Bonham Carter!!!

I'm not sure on Quentin although I love Quinn as I have a complete bastard of an ex called Quentin! Not sure DH would go for it!

brimfull · 01/10/2010 11:48

my dd's best friend is Helena , her nickname is Hells

brimfull · 01/10/2010 11:49

or Helly

badcoverversion · 01/10/2010 12:20

Another vote for Margot and James.

HuckingFell · 01/10/2010 12:26

Jemima - Mimi

timetomove · 01/10/2010 12:30

I know a little girl called Polly as a nn for Olivia (Olivia - Olly - Polly)

ValiumSingleton · 01/10/2010 12:54

Penelope or Juliet for a girl
Marcus or Victor for a boy

BettyAlmighty · 01/10/2010 14:02

Ooh I quite like Penelope, there are too many nice names!

DH is liking James at the moment, but I will put my foot down if I think he will be called Jamie. I do love Jim though!

We found it so easy to name our other kids but we just can't decide for DC5!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 01/10/2010 14:30

Most people called James just get called James IME. Unless you're in Yorkshire in which case Jim will definitely be happening!

I think Penny is a bit of a twee name for some reason, like Mandy or something. bit posher though.

Oh - if you go for James he will certainly be James Initial at school/work/scouts/ballet.

grumpypants · 01/10/2010 14:35

Catherine nn Kitty as the first letters of the other 4 spell Cats.

BettyAlmighty · 01/10/2010 14:49

True Elephants maybe we could go for Wilfred and still use James as a middle name?

So

Wilfred James Raymond

I don't think I would have Penny as a nn for Penelope probably Penn by itself or even Nell.

I think I like Helena more.

DH has gone off Amelia because of the Vanity Fair thing so thanks!

He now likes Juliet shortened to Jude, do you think that would go? Or would you have to go for Judith?

Thanks so much for all your help!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 01/10/2010 15:11

Jude is a cool name, but (like with James) she will probably be called Jules/Juliet by a lot of people (although Juliet is three syllables it's easy to say all of for some reason.)

Wilfred James Raymond is a lovely name

:o at putting DH off Amelia

What about Celia/Cecilia?

BettyAlmighty · 01/10/2010 15:58

True about Juliet!

He's just suggested Cordelia shortened to Delia which I quite like!

He has said that he likes Wilfred!!!!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 01/10/2010 16:02

I was thinking Cordelia but thought maybe too old lady. I like it though and Delia is nice.

Wilfred success!
