Maisie, Scarlett or Cleo are the ok (ish). Amelia is nicer than all of them, have that as the first name.

JoanHolloway · 29/09/2010 12:02

What, re liking Coco? No, not joking! I really do like it. I don't think it's 'out there' or laughable at all. I can see that with your names it might work nicely as a middle name.

kizzibear · 29/09/2010 12:11

Im surprised you like it....as coco doesn't seem a mumsnet friendly name if you get what I mean!

Oh and no for Amelia as a 1st name! Its for DH sake that I considered it in the 1st place!

oh I HATE Dulcie! It's a family name on my Dh's side and we get a bit of pressure to carry on the tradition of it. When I first heard it I laughed! Sorry!

I like Scarlett Amelia

kizzibear · 29/09/2010 13:56

I quite like Dulcie, its one of my favourites, but feel I have to justify it to people. I don't mind people saying about the whole'dull' thing. But the DOLCE and GABBANA thing is something I may not beable to handle all her life!

Scarlett Ava

JoanHolloway · 29/09/2010 14:23

But it's completely different pronunciation - if anybody came out with that you could just point that out.

kizzibear · 29/09/2010 15:05

But people are so annoying, and would say it anyway. I like Dulcie Coco, Scarlett Coco and Maisie Coco and Maia Coco. But I think Im going to get the 'too try hard comments' Well rather that, then the 'its horrible' commnts I suppose.

Dulcie Amelia - pretty and the classiest of the bunch I think. Also absolutley love the name Cora, which coco can be a nn for?

JoanHolloway · 29/09/2010 15:15

People always have something to say, if it's not 'too try hard', then they'll say it's too ordinary and that there will be 5 in the class etc. Don't tell anybody until you've got your lovely baby in your arms!

(I really wanted Esme, made the mistake of telling my dm who then phoned me at work and said - the name esme makes me feel sick, but I know I can tell you because you'll do what you want anyway! grrr....)

Flossiebelle · 29/09/2010 15:15

Scarlett Cleo - lovely

kizzibear · 29/09/2010 15:42

Ahhh I like Cora too. No no no...DH will NOT be happy when I go home tonight saying I have added to the list. lol.

And yes JoanHolloway, you are very right!

Love Cleo! Cleo Rose?? (I know Rose is not on your list).

kizzibear · 29/09/2010 23:05

2 close friends have 'taken' Rose- one for her dd1 1st name, the other has it for her dd1 second name.

I agree it flows nicely though

Ava is the only one I like as a first name. The others are a bit sickly sweet IMO (well not brooke that's fine but Ava Brooke doesn't look right)

rachxx · 01/10/2010 17:38

Dulcie Amelia for me

mathanxiety · 02/10/2010 04:19

Cleo Ava is lovely. I also like Cleo Alexandra.

Rach109 · 02/10/2010 16:46
