alexandra - ok, but a mouthful

megan - strong name

My favourites from that list are Harriet, Clementine (pronounced clemen-teen (not tyne)) Alexandra and sophie.
Least favourite are Hannah, Zara, Beatrice and Megan.

Matilda and Jessica I can take or leave.

None of them are horrid and none remind me of nasty girls at school or anything similar!

hannah - pretty and feminine (I like Anna too) although very popular
harriet - Quite like hattie as a nn, but Harriet is quite harsh sounding IMO
zara - I don't like this; quitedated I think
clementine - being more popular (esp on MN) - am undecided
beatrice - not knne
alexandra - too harsh sounding for me
sophie - pretty, timeless
megan - harsh sounding again
madeleine - pretty but populat, like maddie as nn
matilda - love the name, love Tilly as nn, popular
jessica - OK, not my choice personally, poss a little dated these days

sophie - lovely name
megan - lovely name

All are nice names really but I wouldn't go for Clementine/Harriet.

hannah - nice but prefer Anna
harriet - like this one
zara - prefer Sara
clementine - don't like, sounds like a name for a pet cow
beatrice - Paul McCartney's dd
alexandra - like and also Alexia
sophie - very popular
megan - was my dog's name so not for me
madeleine - pretty but please don't shorten to Maddie (shudder)
matilda - OK
jessica - nice name which I unreasonably really dislike.

hannah - cute and it reads the same backwards
harriet - harsh and stuck up sounding
zara - it's ok.
clementine - No!!!!
beatrice - Old sounding
alexandra - Love it
sophie - cute, I love it
megan - Old sounding. She'll get Meg as an nn
madeleine - too popular but pretty
matilda - Cute
jessica No!!!!!

hannah - Lucy's sister. Very pretty, quite shy
harriet - Strong willed and determined
zara - Petite and sophisticated
clementine - Arabella's sister. Mummy drives a 4x4 but hasn't ever set foot on a farm because the smell/muck would make her ill
beatrice - Middle class and boden wearing
alexandra - Very popular child, all the kids want to be her friend. She's trendy and influential
sophie - Bubbly, happy-go-lucky. A little bit ditsy with a great personality
megan - Dark haired petite little girl. A wonderful friend
madeleine - Bit bossy, good leader
matilda - Beatrice's sister
jessica - Fun-loving blonde child who likes to have a good laugh with her mates

hannah - don't like, boring and have never met one that I've liked.
harriet - love love love
zara - prefer sara
clementine - pretentious
beatrice - nice
alexandra - not keen, don't like Lexi as nn
sophie - lovely, timeless

jessica - don't like, over popular and over-rated.

dd (3) is small, blonde, strong willed and has a long first name and a short middle name and id like similar if possible.

hannah - it's always seemed a bit goofy to me, maybe cos of the whole Spanner nickname thing?

harriet - blokey, victorian

zara - bit harsh for my liking, but ok

clementine - a foodstuff

beatrice - the royals

alexandra - palace

sophie - the BFG

megan - cute puppy

madeleine - dainty, beautiful little girl, my favourite

matilda - roald dahl again, like this one

jessica - fletcher

zara - long flowing locks, slightly bohemian, arty-type
clementine - spoilt brat!
beatrice - pretty, feminine, good fun
alexandra - bit of a rebel, popular and funny
sophie - bookish, quiet,
megan - average at school, dependable, happy
madeleine - drama/dance type, party animal
matilda - bossy, teacher's pet
jessica - quiet, shy, mousey

that's what those names say to me based on knowing children with all of them except Clementine and Zara!

My favourites are Alexandra and Zara - both of which I'd consider if I were choosing a name fo a dd. But then I am minor Euro-royalty Wink

hannah -- really glad I didn't call DD1 Hannah. It seems quite dated.
harriet -- prim, twee
zara -- lovely, stylish
clementine -- lovely, stylish; reminds me of church bells ringing for some reason
beatrice -- lovely, classic
alexandra -- lovely, classic, formal
sophie -- nice, prefer Sophia or Sofia though
megan -- dislike this name, sounds dumpy, don't like the EGG sound in the middle
madeleine -- lovely, sounds like the essence of France to me
matilda -- lovely, classic Germanic; love Tilda as nn
jessica -- frou-frou, Barbie-type name, 1970s, a bit downmarket?

harriet - quite posh, horsey, hard sound
zara - royal and very horsey
clementine - cutesy, also a fruit
beatrice - really like
alexandra - really like
sophie - spoiled (just my personal experience of sophies!)
megan - LOVE this name. Slightly hippyish
madeleine - love this name, very elegant
matilda - Roald Dahl. bit hard sounding.
jessica - bit frilly. Jess is nice though.
