sugestions for boy and girls welcome.

Already on the list of 'likes' (but mostly vetoed by DH already, or unsuitable in some way) are:

Alfred/Alfie
Milo

Charlotte/Lottie
Faith

Sian (Welsh version of Jane)

Astrophe · 30/09/2010 06:46

like Sebastian, but DH doesn't.
like Beatrice, but another DCs nn is 'Bee', so wouldn't work unfortunately.
Like Solomon, DH not sure

Nothing else is jumping out at me....

any other ideas?

Had to pop in as Clementine and Elijah were on mine and dh's list although we didn't use them in the end.

On the premise that we may have similar taste in names, our other serious considerations were:

Carter (for a boy)
Rowan (for either)
Sorrel (for a girl)
Violet (girl obv)

Astrophe is Elijahs nn Bee by any chance? My 8 year old is Elijah (ELi) and goes by Bee quite often!

How about (sorry for repeats!)

tummytickler - yes! It started as Baby-Eli (from his older sister), then morphed to 'Bel', then to 'Bee'. I love it :)

Astrophe · 01/10/2010 05:41

( I meant 'Beli', not 'Bel')

Does Francesca team with the theme, do you think?

And what about (yes, I'm serious here), Elmo?

OP posts:
pebblejones · 02/10/2010 13:49

Elmo? Seriously? What about Arno (I think it's a name)... Oh and what about Gwen for a girl.

yggdrasil · 02/10/2010 13:52

Benedict is great

if I have any more, which I am not, I am definitely using Benedict. Boy or girl.

pebblejones · 02/10/2010 13:54

Francesca is lovely, I know a Fran (Francoise) and Fran as a nn really suits her, but I think sounds a tiny bit 'old ladyish'.
Back to Elmo... I don't know sorry, I personally wouldn't.
Your DCs have lovely names!

Astrophe · 02/10/2010 13:57

Would go for 'Cesca' (Cheska) as a nn for Francesca. Not keen on Fran. Is Fran inevitable?

Elmo. I get the red fluffy connotations. But it just sounds so nice. I think.

So Milo...? Its a popular drink where I live, so DH says no way. But again, I love the sound of it.

Like Benedict for a boy, but sounds bit harsh for a girl to me.

(oh, Pebblejones, thanks. :) I think so too, obviously!)

Milo was a very popular drink where I went to boarding school... We used to eat it too. I can even remember the television advert... 'it's marvellous what Milo can do for you!'
I can't picture it as a boys name... Kind of like naming him 'Nesquick' - sorry for the Nestle drink, but it's similar to Milo.
