Alice - nice, feminine; not sure if goes with your mn choices though
Seren - ok
Merryn - a little harsh sound for me personally, but not bad
Elizabeth - nice, traditional name. Like Beth as nn.
Sophia - like this (and Sophie too)
Margot - don't like this, sorry.
Emiliana - not keen on this. Prefer Emma, Emily, Emilia
Liliana - prefer Lily
lowri
Caridwen - not keen

Yes good luck for Sunday... and go with the name you prefer - practice writing all your names like you will on Christmas cards and see how it flows, also look at what the initials spell. Not heard of Merryn before but it is really sweet. Go with your heart! Feels like such a bug responsibility though doesn't it.

Merryn Eve is lovely, especially shortened to Merry. We have a Meredith, nn Merry, and it makes me smile every time I say it!

I love Lowri, but then as you might guess I'm biased!
It's my middle name, and when people hear it I get compliments, people usually say it's pretty. I like it, would have been happy with Lowri as a first name.

From the others I like

Seren
Merryn
Elizabeth
Liliana
Caridwen

I like all of them, actually, but think Sophia/Sophie goes best with James and Ellie. Elizabeth and Lili (that's probably what people'd call her if she were a Liliana) seem to close to Ellie IMO. Yes, Sophie is very popular, but so are James and Ellie :) and I think they're all lovely. (I've got Eleanora with Elle or Ellie as a nn picked out for my future dd :))

CheerfulYank · 12/09/2010 01:12

Too close, excuse me. :)

I really like Alice, although if people shortened it to Allie, you'd have an Allie and an Ellie!

Not Elizabeth as Ellie is (or sounds like) a shortened version of Elizabeth.

Merryn is pretty and very different to your DD1 name.

Good luck!

So has she arrived yet and does she have a name?

I'm secretly hoping for a merry announcement - a real grower of a name!
