Lola or Summer

Okay, baby due in 7 days now and love these 2 names but just can't decide.....

I know they are a bit 'cutesy' and not everyone's cup of tea so if you hate them both then please don't post (I'm very hormonal! ) but if you do prefer one to the other let me know as I'm having a really tough time deciding now!

Wondering which one will sound better as she gets older too? (not bothered about the high court judge test - I don't believe in all that!). Also not bothered about which is the most popular too.

Middle names will be Eleanor Rose.... Thanks!

There is a Lola and a Summer in my dd's class at school. They are both nice but I think I prefer Lola.

Unfortunately,Summer to me is the more porny-type name.American porn-starry,Las Vegasy.Sorry!

Lola sounds more continental,french/italian?
Lola conjures up an image of a beautiful young woman with a short bob.Very gamine.

Summer is too hippy-ish (unless you're an actual hippy - if you are feel free to go ahead) Also tis stupid to call your kid Summer in erm.... Autumn.

Okay, think I'm more confused now as the mumsnet consensus seems to be fairly even !

I'm not a hippy, but I do quite like hippy names lauriefairycake . I love names like Willow, Meadow, Eden etc.......... also, british summer time ends sometime about the 23rd Sept and baby will be born by then so will still officially be summer (although I know it's starting to feel like autumn recently!).

Maybe I should wait till she is born and then I just have to decide if she looks more like a stripper or a hippy?

Eleanor Rose is absolutely gorgeous, classy, unusual... I might steal it myself .

Of Summer and Lola, I'd say Summer, but neither are really my cup of tea.

Eleanor Rose, however... beautiful ring to it, great nickname potential too (Ellie, Elle, etc etc)
