any ideas for strong yet dainty girls names or is this an impossiblity
too suit a dainty little girl who judging by her relatives will remain petite but will probably be strong willed and determined

i think she looks like a matilda. dh thinks she looks like a felicity .there in lies the problem and im not sure how to resolve it beginning to think i'll just give in as dh is besotted with his choice and likes nothing else .we have been arguing over this for weeks so for her sake may be easier just to go with his choice as she has been baby no name for too long.

i loooooooooooooooooooooooooove Felicity and Tara

Clary · 28/08/2010 20:31

Felicity is a very nice name too.

I wouldn't not name a child this just because you suspect she will be strong-willed. Who's to say? And why can't Felicity (nn Flick if you like) be strong-willed?

Isla

How about Brittany??

Like Britain- small but powerful (or was)

smilingserenely · 28/08/2010 21:00

clary i do like the name felicity but have worried all along that because of the y ending it is too flowery/feminine but i could and obviously am wrong.i definitely wasn't meaning to offend any felicitys or mums of felicitys out there

I love Felicity.

Chloe?

sorky · 29/08/2010 08:33

What happens if she's a biffa? Confused

Better give her a solid, chunky middle-name too, hedge your bets....

grapeandlemon · 29/08/2010 08:35

Angelina

sorky · 29/08/2010 08:38

IMHO you need to stay away from short names.

Helen & Sarah play Rugby (or should do), you have been warned.

I like Stephanie. It's cute and I haven't met one yet.

Chunkamatic · 29/08/2010 22:55

I like Felicity, FWIW. More than Matilda, although that's nice too. DP really likes the name Felicity, also Verity. He thinks they'd be the names of "nice" girls!!!
