Both are awful, sorry. And sound very feminine.

sparkle12mar08 · 24/07/2010 17:29

But if forced to choose, I'd go with Milan.

backtotalkaboutthis · 24/07/2010 17:32

Hmm not sure. Milliner is lovely, but I think it might be a girl's name. Milifluent and Milage are the boy's versions I think.

emmyloo2 · 24/07/2010 18:09

Milan is my dh's name! It's a lovely name. It is a yugoslav name though so unless you were from Yuogslavia I wouldn't choose it.

Never heard of Milin.

Beral · 24/07/2010 19:15

Milan (Milun) is also an Indian name. I quite like it but I think people might think that you were thinking Milan, Paris, London etc.

PaintingTheFence · 24/07/2010 19:25

Milan. As in the writer Milan Kundera.

freerangeeggs · 24/07/2010 19:51

I know a Milan - I'm not sure where he's from. It's lovely, as long as it's not being given in the vein of Paris or London :P

Hazeyjane · 24/07/2010 19:53

I know a Millan, which is an Indian name.

Chathappy · 24/07/2010 21:01

I know a 4 year old boy called Milan. It's a great name - my friend, his mum, is from Slovakia and I'm pretty sure his full first name is milanko (although I may have got that slightly wrong...?). Everyone calls him Milan though.

mopsyflopsy · 24/07/2010 21:25

Milan is a lovely name.

wickedfairy · 25/07/2010 18:21

I think it sounds fairly girly, unless you are from Eastern Europe wheere it is an established male name....

zenon · 25/07/2010 18:31

As long as it is pronounced MEE-lan and not Milan the Italian city. Great name.

PaintingTheFence · 25/07/2010 18:52

Would you consider Milo, Emil or Miles?

WetAugust · 25/07/2010 22:37

He'll spend his life being asked if he was conceived in Milan - a No No unless he actually was

MilMae · 26/07/2010 09:45

thanks all for the replies...

I think of Milan Kundera and pronounce it MEE-lan, with the emphasis on the first syllable.

Great name!

russiandolly · 26/07/2010 21:02

I'm not keen on either but that's just my humble opinion...what about Miller as an alternative?
