I'd like some ideas for strong-sounding girls names with consonant endings.

So far I have:

Amber
Greer
Clover
Delilah
Jennifer
Cerys
Meredith
Skyler
Tanith
Nevis

I dont like:

Esther, Beth/Elizabeth, Eleanor, Edith, Ruth, so nothing of this ilk please.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I think it's quite a difficult remit.

Lots of consonant ending names end in vowel sounds, or have nns which do so that kind of defreat the purpose.

er endings will work where we live because of the way we pronounce our rs

I'm leaning towards Jennifer but is that too boring?

Jennifer is lovely, and not as frequently used these days. Does Jenny sit Ok with you though?

Jennifer is a lovely name

I second Jennifer. And don't really see why Delilah fits your own criterion of no vowel endings as that's how it's pronounced.

Laurel
Beryl
Emer
Morag
Efric
Gertrude
Violet
Jess
Lettice
Lovage
Mariel
E ve
Lois

Sorrel?

But go for Jennifer!

Sorry but I do think Jennifer lacks imagination, is dated and yes is boring. I read Jennifer was the single most popular name for American girls from 1970 to 1984 and that there are support groups for people named Jennifer in the US :S

Yes but that was then. I think it's original now.

I wouldn't pick it but I think it's actually quite an outside the box choice right now. so not boring imo. Dated, but that is 'brave' in a way.
