For my un-named son?

Also love Danny but hate Daniel.

I guess this is a joke....

tiredandgrouchy · 20/07/2010 17:57

Danny is fine.
But Bunny? No

PandaG · 20/07/2010 17:59

personally wouldn't use bunny, think itis a bit too much like a nickname than a real first name. In fact I do call both my DC bunny as an affectionate name.

Danny or Daniel both fine

Jojay · 20/07/2010 18:00

Noooooooo

Lakota · 20/07/2010 18:00

No. Could be a family nickname while he's a baby though. My husband is Ben(jamin) and was Bunny as a baby. Occasionally Bun now, as an affectionate nickname - but Bunny for a grown man is ludicrous. Sounds like some gin soaked old dowager from the deep South.

PosieParker · 20/07/2010 18:01

Danny no, Bunny noooooooooooooo.

usualsuspect · 20/07/2010 18:03

Danny yes ...bunny...are you serious?

chibi · 20/07/2010 18:06

bunny is the name of the desperately unhappy son of the main character of kurt vonnegut's novel 'breakfast of champions'

i think he plays piano in a hotel bar on a motorway

tbh better as a nickname

PaintingTheFence · 20/07/2010 18:07

Sorry but I don't like Bunny.

If you use Danny then most people will assume it's short for Daniel.

champagnesupernova · 20/07/2010 18:11

There was a Bunny in eldorado
IIRC In the first ep turned up with his new wife who was about 30 years younger than him

And Charlotte from SATC's scary WASP (first) Mil was Bunny macDougal

Either way those are the only connotations I have of this name = ie not good.

BunnyLebowski · 20/07/2010 18:18

I looooooooove it

SpiderWilliam · 20/07/2010 18:52

No! Charlotte's WASP MIL in Sex and the City was Bunny.

KristinaM · 20/07/2010 18:55

dont be silly

fine as a nickname, not as a formal name

bunnymother · 20/07/2010 19:04

NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! And that should mean something coming from me.

5DollarShake · 20/07/2010 19:34

Good Lord, you cannot be serious? I was all set to come on here and say you can't give any self-respecting girl the name Bunny - and then I see you're proposing to give it to a boy??

Don't do it.

saintlydamemrsturnip · 20/07/2010 19:36

Good grief no. Dreadful.

ShirleyKnot · 20/07/2010 19:40

teehee.

A very dear family friend was nicknamed "Bunny" until he died (at the age of 80) he was called thus because he just did not shut up from the moment he opened his eyes in the morning, til the moment he closed them at night.

(I only found out his real name at his funeral)

So, in conclusion...um, probably not - but I did love good old Bunny.

DomesticG0ddess · 20/07/2010 20:09

I know a 3 year old girl called Bunny. The only other Bunny I have heard of is a 50 year old reggae singer (male). I think it's a bit embarrassing either way tbh.

FranSanDisco · 20/07/2010 20:15

Wasn't there a Bunny in Eldorado? Anyway no you can't name a child Bunny. It could be used as a nn when he's tiny but then STOP. Danny is nice, popular and safe imho.

SirBoobAlot · 20/07/2010 20:35
Biscuit
VenusInfers · 20/07/2010 20:40

Isn't 'Bunny' the traditional nickname for a boy called Warren? Def not a name on its own.

Danny or Daniel is lovely tho.

DastardlyandSmugly · 20/07/2010 20:46

Bunny for a girl but not for a boy.

Not for anyone... other than a rabbit.

DandyDan · 22/07/2010 14:58

Bunny as a nickname, not a real name.
