Igglybuff · 18/07/2010 16:44

really??

valiumSingleton · 18/07/2010 16:46

that means 'young'

so if a father and son have the same name, in Ireland the son might be referred to as Sean O'Brien Og. I think that is the context.

What about Tadhg? That's a really good name. One syllable, snappy sound ending in G. Similar, but a name

valiumSingleton · 18/07/2010 16:48

No, I made a mistake, it would be more like Sean Og O'Brien.

OgreRebel · 18/07/2010 16:59

I think it's better as a nn.

Ogstrum
Oggie
Ogrick
Ogre

You could have some fun with it.

hocuspontas · 18/07/2010 17:02

Excellent. If you have twins they can be Og and Magog. Good choice

Effjay · 18/07/2010 17:03

Ugh

violethill · 18/07/2010 17:17

Ok. And your reason for posting?

misdee · 18/07/2010 17:27

Og for a boy

Oglette for a girl.

dd4 was Frogmella

I think Oggalina is much prettier than Oglette.

fgs she will be called Omelette and be teased terribly at school! Think straight woman.

swampster · 18/07/2010 17:31

Where is the 'Like' button?

misdee · 18/07/2010 17:36

we are calling it Og whilst its still in my womb

But i am rather worried about my baby names book. its has an errrr wide varity, but no Tarquin

OP posts:
Bacofoil · 18/07/2010 17:42

Oh I think you should stick with Og.

Or perhaps Tarquin Og.

breatheslowly · 18/07/2010 18:57

I seem to remember that encyclopedia authors would add intentional errors to check who plagarised them. I like to think that there are a few babies out there with particularly odd names as the result of baby name book authors doing the same thing.

5DollarShake · 18/07/2010 19:08

Just because a collection of letters is a name, it doesn't mean you have to use it.

There are actually quite a few other names out there too, you might be surprised to learn. Why not consider some of those?

Haliborange · 18/07/2010 19:59

It it pronounced "oaje"?

If so, I like it.

valiumSingleton · 18/07/2010 20:19

What about Tiernan Og?

BessieBoots · 18/07/2010 20:21

Ogwen!

sparkleshine · 19/07/2010 20:18

Eww this is a joke right?

CapitalText · 19/07/2010 21:04
