Graves disease - future pregnancy

I was diagnosed with Graves a few months after having my first child. Weirdly my antibodies have always come back negative but the diagnosis was made based on symptoms, ultrasound and thyroid function (undetectable tsh, free T4 of 95).

Thankfully my T4 has come back to normal after several months of Carbimazole and I don't feel horrendous anymore! I'm seeing an endocrinologist but they keep dodging my questions about a long term plan as so far the focus has been getting my levels normalised.

I'd like to try for another child, ideally within the next two years. I'm early 30s. I'm tempted by a thyroidectomy as this would offer a definitive treatment for the Graves. I can't do radioactive iodine cos of my little one and I'd be scared to be on anti-thyroid meds during pregnancy in case my hyperthyroidism got unstable or I had side effects. First pregnancy was complicated by mild pre-eclampsia.

Anyone got any positive stories of pregnancy after a GD diagnosis, or can offer any insight on treatment options. I've read the relapse rate for Graves after subsequent pregnancies can be as high as 80% so I really am leaning towards requesting a thyroidectomy...

I was diagnosed with Graves' disease when I was 19 . Was on carbimazole for a few years and got pregnant with my first during that time . Had a thyroidectemy and went on to have another 3 children afterwards.
