Hi
I'm 2 weeks into methotrexate (for rheumatoid arthritis) and I had a slight period last week , I'm on contraception, so just usually have a few days. But I've not stopped bleeding since and I'm just wondering if that's common when starting it?

Thanks

That is interesting as I have had the same issue but couldn't find any evidence the methotrexate was to blame!

Glad I'm not alone. I'm still bleeding now. It's torture. I rang Rheumo nurse but she said must be coincidence. But I'm not so sure. It just won't stop

It may be worth speaking to a Pharmacist - they may know if there is anything they can do. I had the same issue post covid and ibuprofen seemed to help but I think you cant take this with methotrexate. But a pharmacist may know of other options?
