Hi after a bit of advice please.
Has anyone's DD made a complete recovery from this condition (with steroids) and has the whiteness / delicate skin gotten better with time? I'm not clear on what the steroids are treating? Is it just the itch or also the skin condition too? DD has no thickened patches. Just overall whiteness in the vulva area with some occasional itchiness and soreness.

Thanks

Hi my daughter developed this condition was she was 7 years old and had steroid creams increasing in strength over a number of years. The dermatologist told me that the books say if the condition begins in childhood it will burn out during puberty, but that she had adult patients who had developed the condition as a child. However in my daughter’s case the books were right, she is 32 now and no longer suffers with it. Good luck

Thank you so much for your reassuring message.
Did your daughter report that her symptoms cleared up entirely and the skin returned to normal after treatment? Thank you
