Hi, I am on both and terrified of catching Covid.

Would be very interested to know if anyone on the same drugs has had Covid and if so how bad was it?

Thanks

Not sure if you're on Facebook but there's a Crohn S and colitis UK group where understandably there's been a lot of covid talk. Info available so far from crohns and colitis foundation shows covid doesn't seem to be associated with worse outcomes for patients with ibd, in particular biologics have not been associated with an increased risk of complications. Have a look on the covidibd.org site and the CCUK.

At the time I had covid I was on azathioprine, adalimumab, methotrexate and steroids , i had covid extremely mildly, was less than a cold. So I was absolutely fine. I've never sheilded as I couldn't be bothered and have worked in a high risk job the whole time. I don't take azathioprine and steroids now, but I was taking all 4 when I had it. My husband who has no autoimmune disease and was on no meds had covid worse than me but both of us had it very mildly

Yes, me. I’m on Stelera and Aza. I had Covid in Jan. I didn’t recover as quickly as my family did but it wasn’t as bad as I imagined.

Ds (18) is on Azathioprine and Adalimumab and currently has covid. He's ok. Felt really tired for 48 hrs and had a sore throat. Day 3 feels ok. He had AZ and had his second jab on May 6th

My daughter has Myasthenia Gravis and has been taking immunosuppressive drugs for years. She had the first three covid jabs but didn't gain any immunity from it. We know this because she was having monthly blood tests to check for antibodies for a study she was taking part in. She then caught covid, (twice in the space of 6 months), was quite poorly the first time but had it pretty mild the second time. She was given the antiviral treatment both times.
The blood tests since having covid show she now has antibodies at the higher level.
