So went to get my prescription off hydroxychloroquine from chemist and they can't get it. Do you think it's because there was talk about using it for coronavirus trials.

Yes I've been worried about this for a while. I asked rheumatology nurse in March what the contingency plan was for when it becomes scarce and she said there wasn't one.
If you stop taking it you will feel fine for a while. It has a very long half life and takes about three months to wear off ......and another three months to start working again.

My doctor only prescribed one month's supply this time instead of my usual two months. I do think the rs is because of testing it for use in coronavirus.

The French study looking at use for coronavirus was published two weeks ago and found you were actually more likely to die if treated with hydroxycholoroquinine. so I suspect it will be back to normal shortly.

He is an agronomist and economist so not really certain that he has valid clinical opinion.
This link from the BMJ/Yale preprint server is much more trust worthy.
