Hi mini,
Thanks for your kind words. I had sinusitis in the mix as well as the cough/asthma/ cold. I've bounced back very well and actually lost a few pounds! So feel more at ease with a short course should I need it again.
Regarding inflammation, there's some research showing that cold water therapy can be good at helping the body's own anti inflammatory systems. I'm calling it that; it's anything from slowly adding longer bouts of cold water at the end of a shower, to regular swimming in a cold pool, to cold water baths, to sea swimming and the Wim Hoff method.
It's not a cure by any means nor going to equal what oral steroids can do but likely to be as effective as taking any supplements. I found it helpful for chronic pain from hypermobility and it’s been used for some types of depression.
I’m taking coq10 as I did think it helps with muscle stiffness when I took it for conception and research seems to point towards it helping with fibromyalgia. This site has a collection of studies on it: https://examine.com/supplements/coenzyme-q10/
Im not 100% certain it's the wonder supplement that it's painted as and I'm not sure if I'll take it when this batch runs out, but I keep looking at research.

I’ve been able to build up to occasional sea swimming in the summer and autumn in the North Sea through slowly increasing cold showers (literally a minute at the end of a warm one at first!) and am aiming to do so some day in the winter.
