Hey ....
I am currently in the midst of the most longest, painful flare up ever....don't know what to do with myself and nothing is helping....

Any ideas anyone?

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this.

I know there’s nothing I can suggest to help it go quicker but get as much help from family and friends as poosible. Don’t try and rush back to normal , you’ll only end up like this again sooner rather than later. Xx

DH is currently in the middle of a horrendous flare up. You are not alone. For him stress is a major trigger so we are going to try lots of de-stressing approaches. Taking Pregabalin offers him some respite. I hope your flare up dies down soon.

Have a relaxing bubble bath or play meditation music on YouTube. Keep yourself warm and take it easy. When you feel better, don’t over do it, or you will pay for it , the following day.

Hi, just hoping for a bit of advice if anyone has been through a similar flare up. For weeks I've had pain and stiffness in my hips, especially in the mornings. That has been uncomfortable but manageable. Since last week, though, I've had pain in my shoulders (mostly the left) and my left arm. In the last couple of days it has moved to my back too, again mostly on the left, under my shoulder blade. It feels so stiff and sore that I'm not always breathing easily and I feel tired and a bit anxious with it.

Was diagnosed with fibro almost 2 years ago but this is the scariest attack yet. Almost feels like a 'lump' in my mid left back, although of course I hope it's not actually a lump. Just wondered if anyone else has had a flare up in this area and can offer any tips for dealing with it. I had a long distance commitment today that I couldn't get out of and am just on the train home but would've preferred to stay in bed all day! And only had paracetamol with me but it's not touching it and am tempted to down some tramadol when I get in, or co codamol 30/500 at the very least Confused

Ive found heat is the best thing. A hot bath, hot water bottles, or my electric blanket. I put gloves on if my fingers hurt.

Failing that 30/500 cocodamol and a rest with lots of pillows.
