Scabies-Ivemectin

Yes, itโ€™s me again, still obsessed with scabies, ๐Ÿ˜ž, sorry.
My GP agreed to give me Ivemectin tablets yesterday, but conflicting advice on how to take on internet:

Do I take with or without food?

Do I change sheets on the day I take my first dose (5 tablets as Iโ€™m 72kg)or the morning after?

So confused.
Hoping to get answers from this lovely community.

What did the doctor advise?
Are there no instructions in the box?
Failing that, ask the pharmacist.

@Springtimehereit says take immediately on box, I did ask the pharmacist some questions , but I was a bit distracted, Iโ€™ve not been myself the last couple of weeks.
No instructions in packet.

I was just reaching out for a bit of support on here, thank you for your reply.

Iโ€™m in Australia.

@RampantIvy - instructions on label said take immediately.

Not sure when to change sheets as did cream in day and changed sheets so everything was clean after I showered off the Lyclear in evening.

So go back and ask the pharmacist again! It's their literal job to advise you on your medication.

This is medical advice far beyond what you can expect random posters on MN to give you.

I would change my sheets every day.

You could ring the pharmacy to check whether to take with food or not but in the UK the dosage instructions would be clearly written on the label.

My apologies. I missed that this was the Aussie and NZ mumsnetters topic.

In the UK when a GP prescribes medication the patient is told when and how to take it. The label in the box also states the same, and all medication in the UK - prescribed and non prescribed comes with a sheet of instructions in the box - mainly stating side effects and what not to do, but still helpful.

The best bet is to ask the pharmacist. Usually pharmacists know more than doctors about medication.
