Scabies (more anxiety sorry) -Lyclear

Sorry, anxious old me again …I see that a lot of people in the UK use Derbac M and it’s successful, but unfortunately we can’t get it here in Australia and can’t find an online pharmacy that will deliver internationally.

I’m so worried that the Lyclear won’t work long term, seen so many negative reviews. Anybody got any success stories of Lyclear clearing it.

2 treatments and itching badly - more than I did when I had the localised rash!

Really struggling mentally, particularly because my husband thinks all of my fears are just my anxiety- his answer to everything is it’s just your anxiety in a snappy superior tone.

The itching takes a while to start after you actually catch scabies, because the itching is a reaction that isn't immediate.

So there will be a delay between treatment and the itching clearing up. Continued itching doesn't mean the treatment isn't working. The treatment isn't an instant fix - it kills the mites, but the itching will take longer to stop.

If you've done two treatments then you're just going to have to sit tight and wait.

FWIW when I had scabies (20 years ago!) I had a horrific further allergic reaction to DerbacM which made my whole face swell up. I then had to do two treatments with Lyclear which did work and didn't make my face swell up. So you might not be missing out on much!

@BeansAndNoodles- so sorry about your face swelling up, that on top of the scabies must have been a very low point for you.
Your comment has given me hope, thank you…sorry that I keep coming on here…haven’t been on Netmumd since son was very young in the Uk.
The Facebook support groups are just full of negative experiences, as is Reddit so thought I’d come back to the ‘sisterhood ‘ of mums.
