have seen boxes of edible play dough recently that you mould then bake. Imagine this is basically a cookie mix (probably filled with fantastically horrible things) and wondered if anyone had made their own and very cleverly had a recipe (ie have seen this and am too tight to buy it and too lazy to test recipes)

my mum usd to make pastry for us to play with and then we'd cook it and eat it!

Yes, I'd call it pastry too - or biscuit mix!

aha, they call it Yummy Dough and charge a tenner for it. Am i missing something?!!

Spend your money on this book instead

There's loads of recipes including 10 edible ones, such as custard powder dough and sweet sugar dough. I guess most are a variant of biscuit dough etc. I have used a lot of the recipes in this book, although not edible ones so can't recommend one!

My daughter used to eat Play Dough and you'll find that it's actually non-toxic, but I suppose it's not designed to be eaten! I hadn't heard about an edible Play Dough before, but I wish I'd had that for my daughter.

A tenner seems a bit much for it. Are you sure?
