Knitters help! What on earth does K3B mean?!

I'm a fairly accomplished knitter - or so i thought!! but am just doing the edge on a cardigan and it says k3b! The line is k3b into each 3rd cast off stitch. It says that k3b is knit into the third row below.

So can't figure out how to do that - any ideas?!

many thanks!

is it not that you leave the stitch on the needle and kni three times using the same stitch (knit 3 behind)? so you have casted off one and then made three? or is it knit three in the colour you have classsed as b?

hi countydurhamlass , in the abbreviations, it says it is, knit 3 rows below. It looks like it makes a pinch in the edging, but i just cant understand how!

With the tip of your right needle pull up the purl bump ( if you're working in stst) and put it on to the left needle, then knit it. It makes a ruffle in the fabric. Tricky, but worth it!

Hi I just joined and found this link

I am still dumb!
My pattern says cast off, working k3b in 3rd cast off st and every following 6th cast off st.
I have NO clue.
Can someone explain it from the beginning please!

Thanks!! :)
